FIRST ROUGH CUT FEEDBACK: Bethany, Farhiya, Jhean, Kim
Feedback:
- Less zooming and more cut ins
- Establish the main character, clearly; so when the characters starts speaking, it matches the action on screen. We introduce the character when the main character starts the narration- a shot of the character walking or a clear shot of their face.
- Establish the college setting with more shots around the building; such as displays, classrooms and etc. A good example of this is Breakfast Club where the opening sequence successfully introduces the setting of the school and the themes of the film. Shots of school lockers and empty corridors are seen and we could replicate this.

Astrid's Narration Script: Bethany Volante
ASTRID
(Sounding monotone, almost bored)
I guess I'm not what people class as...
normal. Most teenage girls grow their hair down to their thighs, stalk each
other's Instagram accounts, and bat their eyelashes at boys. The biological
male fascinates them, and they spend copious amounts of time trying to make
their existence known to them.
Not me. I'm completely different.
(Sighs)
So, there's this girl. Lucy. And, she's probably
straight. Wastedpotential. She's confident, gorgeous, outspoken... Anyway, I'm
more interested in her than I've ever been interested in any immature boy.
(Sarcastic)
But, what have I got going for me? Barely
anyone wants to be my friend, I have a history of being picked on by the local
bored conformists, and I dress like Tim Burton styled me for a film.
(Sounding reluctant)
Well, there is one girl who's okay. I mean,
she buys palm oil skincare products and goes to KFC, but what can you do? She
accepts me. Still, though, I'm not too... agreeable with the student body.
(A moment’s pause)
Daisie. A conservative background and
self-loathing don't make a good combination. More than anything, I kind of feel
sorry for her.
But that doesn't mean I enjoy getting
victimised for the way I live my life.
(Determined, strong)
My name's Astrid. And I'm gonna live it
anyway.

FILMING RUN THROUGH: Farhiya, Jhean, Kim, Bethany
Here is a long shot of Astrid (main character) walking
This is a long shot of Astrid climbing the stairs and she is on her way to class.
BLOG THEME: Farhiya, Jhean, Kim, Bethany

We had to format our blog so that it reflects the type of film we wanted to make. Since we wanted to make a teen drama film, we thought it should involve bright colours as most teen drama films have a bright colour palette.
For the font, we decided to use a more 'playful' font as we thought it would portray our film well- the film is meant to be 'comedic' and 'playful'.

Risk Assessment: Bethany Volante

Marisa told us when feeding back that we didn't have a long enough risk assessment. We have to consider factors other than potential equipment damage. For example, if we use the wrong memory cards or forget to insert the memory cards at all, we would have to reshoot everything we did or manually upload footage from the camera.
Also, we need to consider the safety of ourselves. We have been ensuring this by making sure we are not in any physically or socially dangerous places, and that we return equipment at reasonable times so we can return home safely as early as possible.
